After years of hiding in the archives, the Solar System Builder returns with enhanced performance and a larger stage to build your stellar creations. 

Channel the epic forces of the universe as you create realistic solar systems, each with their own gravity and natural physics, variable star characteristics, and customizable planet types. The original Solar System Builder has been immensely popular, with fans and educators who used the interactive in classrooms across the country clamoring for its return. The original  garnered national media attention when it was named the “Best Noon Thing” by political commentator Rachel Maddow. With the reboot of “Cosmos” on the horizon, it seemed like a perfect time to update and re-release Solar System Builder.

Inspired by Carl Sagan’s seminal science epic, “Cosmos: A Personal Voyage,” this high-tech reboot is hosted by Neil DeGrasse Tyson, a noted astrophysicist, who promises to update popular segments from the original series and to introduce compelling new content. The series premieres on National Geographic Channel as part of a simulcast event on March 9 at 9 PM.
